Tony Hernandez receives CD 4 endorsement

Anthony Hernandez secured the party’s endorsement on Saturday at the CD 4 convention in Vadnais Heights. Hernandez received more than 60 percent of the vote on the first ballot in a three-way contest with Ron Seiford and Gene Rechtzigel.

Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Pat Shortridge and Deputy Chairwoman Kelly Fenton issued the following statement congratulating Anthony Hernandez on receiving the Republican endorsement to run against Congresswoman Betty McCollum in Minnesota’s Fourth Congressional District.

“Congratulations to Anthony Hernandez on receiving the Republican endorsement at today’s CD 4 Convention. Anthony is devoted to our conservative principles and will work to defeat Congresswoman McCollum and bring common sense leadership back to Washington.”

Portions of Senate District 54 reside in Minnesota’s 4th Congressional District.
