OFFICIAL CONVENTION CALL

January 14, 2019
To: Delegates and Alternates of Senate District 54

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Minnesota and request of the State Party Executive Committee, this is the Official Call for the Senate District 54 Republican Party Basic Political Organizational Unit (BPOU) convention. The Senate District 54 Republican Party is hereby called to convention at:

Registration will begin at 8:00 AM with the convention commencing promptly at 9:00 AM. Expected adjournment is 12:00 PM.

There is a cost of $10 for this convention and a quorum of seated delegates and alternates of SD 54 is required to conduct the convention.

The Senate District 54 Republican Party Convention shall be composed of the Delegates and seated Alternates elected at the 2018 Precinct Caucuses. The convention shall be held for the purpose of electing the SD 54 Executive Committee, electing State Central Delegates and Alternates, and addressing possible changes in the SD 54 Constitution.

The Senate District 54 Republican Party hereby issues this convention call in the cities of Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, Newport, South St. Paul, Hastings, Nininger Township, Denmark Township, and Afton, Minnesota on the fourteenth day of January 2019.

Proposed changes in Article VII-BPOU Conventions Section 6 Endorsements of the SD 54 Constitution:
“At any BPOU Endorsing Convention there shall be included a period for Delegates and seated Alternates to ask questions of the candidates and for candidates to respond.”
